The Green Experts Program is designed to help students learn more about green careers and access networking and mentorship opportunities with professionals to explore how they can take climate action to the next level: as professionals!

Students have the chance to connect with a professional through class presentations (in person or virtually), climate action project consultation, and mentorship opportunities.

The future generations can help mitigate climate change through their future career or business. Through career pathway development support, and mentorship/networking opportunities, youth can connect directly with Green Experts who work in diverse industries.

What is a green job?

UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO) defines green jobs as “jobs that contribute to preserving or restoring the environment by incorporating one or more of the following aspects: improving energy and raw materials efficiency; limiting greenhouse gas emissions; minimizing waste and pollution; protecting and restoring ecosystems; and supporting adaptation to the effects of climate change”

Green Micro-Internship Program

The Micro-Internship program is a unique opportunity designed for New Brunswick High school students eager to explore sustainable career paths. Participants spend a day at an environmentally focused workplace where they engage with professionals in the field and gain firsthand experience of what a typical day looks like. This hands-on approach encourages a deeper appreciation for environmental stewardship and empowers the next generation of leaders in sustainability.
