Gaia-Led Programs

Work with a Gaia team member to take on a climate action project with your students!

Empower your students by investigating your school's environmental impact! The Climate Action Project - Science Focus is a hands-on inquiry-based program in which students act on real issues at school. Gaia will work with you and your students in-person and virtually to take climate action together!

This program is designed to help grade 9-12 students think critically and make informed, ethical choices about their consumption. They will learn how social issues and environmental issues are closely linked. The Gaia Project will provide students with the resources and support needed to explore the environmental and human impacts of consumerism and how to find better alternatives.

The Green Experts Program was created to showcase existing green careers in the province, and to inspire youth to join New Brunswick’s clean growth economy.

Learning Packages

We have created the lesson plan, now bring it to life in your classroom!

Take on Sustainable Development Goal #13 Climate Action in a way that interests you and your students! Use this interactive scratch-as-you-go poster to make your classroom more sustainable and introduce important eco-conscious behaviour to your students. This poster is free and will be mailed to you! It can even be used more than once!

Important: The printed version of this poster is currently only available to New Brunswick schools. A printable version will be sent via email to requests outside of the province along with instructions to make the scratchable paint that can be applied over the different actions to be revealed on the poster.

Introduce your students to a more sustainable and electrified world of transportation with our Electrify Your Ride program. This session led by the teacher comes with all required support materials to help the class learn about sustainable and electric transportation. The class leaves the program with a new knowledge of electric vehicles and how the electrification of our transportation systems can play an important role in New Brunswick’s future.
